Why does “Du bisch nid allei” exist?
Depression can make you feel lonely. You feel empty and, at the same time, so weighed down.
Many people affected feel that nobody understands them.
Relatives, on the other hand, often feel helpless and don’t know how to offer the right support, or feel they don’t deserve support because they aren’t affected themselves.
This platform gives both sides a voice.
Here you’ll find personal stories, different perspectives and information about professional help.

Important: This is not a substitute for therapy.
Rather, it serves as a reminder:
You don’t have to walk this path alone.

What can you find here?
πŸ’™ For those affected: Here you’ll find stories from people who were in a similarly dark place and have slowly found their way out again. They know how dark some days can be and how much strength it takes to carry on.
Remember: You are not a burden!

You read here that loved ones need support too, and you think:
"I won’t tell anyone, so I don’t become a burden."
Please don’t believe that.
Depression is an illness, not a burden you deliberately place on others, and it is not your life story.
It may be a part of your life, but it does not define who you are.
People worry about you because you matter to them – not because you’re a burden.
That’s why both those affected and their loved ones deserve support, understanding and help.
Both sides are allowed to accept help. Both sides are allowed to be heard.

🀝 For loved ones: Here you’ll find understanding and insights from people who have also supported someone. They know how helpless, exhausted or overwhelmed one can sometimes feel – and that family members deserve support too.

🌱 Finding professional help:
A simple guide to accessing therapy.
It’s a difficult step. It takes strength and courage.
You’re stronger than you think, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.

Finally:
Every story counts.
Behind every case of depression is a person, with hopes, with fears, with good days and bad days.
By sharing our experiences, we foster understanding and show others:
You are not alone.πŸ’™
